ONE STRING SHORT, an acoustic string band noted for its hard-driving rhythmic blend of old-time Celtic and New England-style dance music, includes fiddle(s), Banjo, guitar/mandolin and upright bass. The musicians of One String Short have performed at dances and festivals throughout the area, including the Kent State Folk Festival, Cuyahoga Valley Dulcimer Festival, Parade the Circle and more, and have led workshops at various festivals. Here Emmy, a freshman violin major at CIM, joined the band.
 RHUBARB PIE is a collection of musicians with a strong sense of fun. Formed in 1990, the band combines the usual piano, guitar, fiddle and hammered dulcimer with the not-so-usual bodhran, harmonica and even jug.
